R. Schumann and F.Schubert | Riga, Latvia

Kirill Varyash, Tatiana Chigorskaya

The concert program brings together the works of Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert — two great Romantics for whom music became the language of the soul. This concert is an invitation to silence, beauty, and inner peace. It is music in which silence can be heard — not as the absence of sound, but as a space for breathing, memories, and emotions. The program will feature the expressive Adagio and Allegro, Op. 70, and the luminous miniature Abendlied, Op. 85 No. 12 by Schumann — like a lullaby for the departing day. Schubert will be represented by the rare and refined Sonata “Arpeggione”, D. 821, the lyrical Impromptu, Op. 90 No. 3, and the vocal jewel Du bist die Ruh, D. 776, where poetry and music merge into a single breath.

It is a meeting with oneself. A moment when time stands still — and only the heart is heard...
